Our small ride sizes ensure that our guests receive the personal attention they deserve to have a truly interactive horseback riding experience.

Our Rides are nose-to-tail due to the type of terrain because we love and respect our horse’s riding at 8,700ft to 10,500ft depending on the ride and the safety of our clients.

We offer the 2 ½ hour ride ($75.00 pp), which starts at 8,700 feet and climbs to 10,000 feet where you can view the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Great Sand Dunes, San Luis Valley, Historic Mount Ouray, Chipeta & Palone Peaks of the Sawatch Range. We also offer a 1-hour ride and our most popular ride is the 1 ½ hour ride with fantastic views of Mt. Ouray & the Sangre de Cristo’s.  Those of you looking for a longer trip; we also offer a Half-day ride that journeys along the San Luis Creek up to 10,200 ft. And then on to our 10,000 ft. Mountain with a 360-degree panoramic overlook. Please click www.granitemountainoutfitters.com/horseback-riding/ for more information. The Private ride ($300.00pp) carters to your desires depending on your skill level, the safety of the clients and the well being of the horses. It is a private ride and you have traditional freedom from nose-to-tail to experience the horse and the surrounding beauty of the country.

Our ride times start at 8:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM (sunset ride $85.00pp), however, if we have availability, we try to cater to the client.
